The Swiss Photovoltaic Expert Network is an association of photovoltaic experts active in Switzerland. The aim of the network is the internal exchange of experiences. Furthermore, we try to intensify the exchange of experiences and information among the various know-how carriers. This is why we actively strive for cooperation with associations, research institutes and suppliers.

Expert reports on photovoltaic systems are a matter of trust. We are TÜV Rheinland certified experts and have the necessary experience and training to produce high quality, comprehensible expert reports.

Our services

Expertise for private individualsThese expertise are useful to check that installations are conform with the regulations and best practice. In addition, they help operators and building owners to resolve disputes or provide assistance before court proceedings. Private appraisals also help to assess the performance of the investments.
Insurance reportsIn the event of damage caused by lightning, storm or hail, the extent of the damage is checked by an insurance report, which also determines the loss of earnings, the repair costs or the residual value of the plant. Additional reasons to seek an expert opinion could include vandalism and an overvoltage event in the system.
Yield reportsLenders and investors require expert yield assessments in order to determine profitability of a PV system.
Court OpinionsIn the event of a dispute, a court may commission an expert opinion to clarify the technical points of conflict.
General System ControlThe testing of photovoltaic systems according to IEC 62446 includes:

  • Thorough visual inspection of all components.
  • String measurements and records to make performance assessments
  • The measurement of insulation resistance for assessing the safety of the installation.
  • Thermography/thermal imaging for identification of module problems (either with handheld camera or drone)
  • Or also the creation of electroluminescence images for testing for microcracks or PID type defects

ConsultationA consultation can clarify technical questions in a simple and cost-effective way. We can clarify technical questions regarding the connetion between the PV system and the rest of the building infrastructure.
Analysis of shading effectsA shading analysis shows (e. g. trees, neighbouring buildings, antennas, mountains) is carried out with a custom software. Finally, the loss of production caused by this shading situation is calculated.
System Commissioning ControlAcceptance is the moment when the responsibility for the installation passes from the manufacturer to the owner. An acceptance test according to IEC 62446 gives you the assurance that your system is in order and will function correctly for a long time.
